Multi-Robot Welding Cell
Project overview
Akeratos developed a flexible robotic welding cell capable of running multiple different parts. Powered by Universal and Kawasaki robots, this cell runs the infeed unattended and holds tolerance within .015 TIR.
- Three separate robots: two industrial and one collaborative
- Fully custom infeed and outfeed system
- Capable of welding four different sizes of bell idlers
Results
This cell produces a part in 13-15 minutes that took welders 45 minutes.
